Today, in beautiful Wisconsin, from the banks of lake Waubesa...kinda looks the same as SoCal...okay, not so much.

Very lovely CG. We just got all the new patio furniture in place and now gonna lounge while that nice weather continues with that extra hour of sunlight we're having.

We really do wonder, from time to time, why the heck we live here. That is our view from the house, our "backyard" (the lake) but, it's just not altogether beautiful when there are no leaves on the trees or moving water (it's frozen now, duh).

However, it is truly beautiful when spring comes and everything is blooming. When the ice breaks and the loons come. Oh, and the eagles (not the band) stop by for a week or so before heading further north.

For now, we have bunnies making tracks, opossum and a few birds thinking it's spring (poor things). When we get our pier out, the boat in, our deck chairs set up...it's almost like St. John. Almost.

Spring soon come. Even here, in the frozen northern hemisphere.

Thanks for the pics - always love flowers. My favorite is your husband in the field. Such a blue sky contrasting with the yellow flowers.
We have lots of crocus in bloom here in Virginia.

These are beautiful pictures CG. I can understand why you enjoy to live in CA.

But I have to say that Pete's picture is fantastic too. I like the view of the bare trees against the froozen sea.

CG - you are probably aware of this already, but I saw a spot on an HD channel re the wild desert flowers now blooming like crazy in Joshua Tree Nat Park. They said it was pretty rare and only happens with right combo of desert rain etc. Thought it was near you but see it is actually about 175 mi from SD.

Hi jmq! Yes the wildflowers are blooming! Joshua Tree is about a 2 hr. drive from where I live, however I hadn't heard about the flowers out there! And I get HD too! Hmmm! I'm watching the Antelope Valley website for the big poppy bloom. These hills will soon be covered with California Poppies! We'll probably drive up there (about 3 hrs.) to take pictures.

Thought I'd post a picture I took this morning from where I work. Pretty typical winter for Denver as the snow has been mostly in the mountains.

66 today (19 C) so spring is just about here. 8)
