okay guys...its me again.

one quick question.
our villa choices have come to the following:

Starlit Escape $1400/week
Sea Biscuit $1708/week

which should we choose? any experience?
the more private of the two would be?
more romantic?
better view?
better locale?

any and all issues discussed would be extremely helpful.

PS you guys rock my socks, thank you so much for everything

Erika - Can't comment on Starlit Escape but we stayed at Seabiscuit a couple of years ago and had a great stay. It's named after the horse, so expect a lot of equine decor. It's nicely furnished with the living area and kitchen area downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. Even though there are other houses nearby, the pool area is private, though the water was cool as it spends a lot of the day in the shade. It's chief asset in our mind is that it's within easy walking distance of "downtown Coral Bay". Nice view over Coral Bay harbor. Romantic? Any place can be romantic if you're with the right person...

"Starlit Escape consists of two fully equipped vacation rental suites"

If they rent the other portion of the property while you are there I would expect pretty close quarters. I would just ask.

While I have never stayed at Sea Biscuit, the owner and I work for the same company. Although I don't know him well, I would say that everything he has a hand in is first class. I don't know anything about Starlit Escape.

PS: I hear that Sea Biscuit is for sale.

I asked the owners about that before we signed a contract. (Stayed there for 10 days in Dec/Jan.) They never rent the property to more than one group at a time. I believe that reference on their site is outdated, because though there is a separate master bedroom/bath on the lower level, it doesn't have a kitchen. There is a room that's locked off on the lower level that the owners are now using for storage; I have a vague recollection that was once a separate unit but I'm not sure.

You would have complete privacy there, but not views unless you go up on the happy hour tower.

We stayed at Seabiscuit summer before last and loved it! It was very nicely furnished and the property was well maintained. The pool is wonderful and the view is great. I would stay there again without reservation.
