Anyone else get the Pond Bay mailing?

Today I received a preview package from Pond Bay about their fractional ownership development. Very high-end printed package but no actual pictures of the property or renderings of the units, etc. No pricing, either, but lots of rhetoric like this: "Timing is everything. Please note that Pond Bay represents the last great resort location on St. John." "Sensitive Landscaping" "50 villas and cottages ranging from 2,200 to 4,300 square feet." "Traditional West Indies feel." "Pond Bay is part of FOLIO "
www.foliocollection.com".
Unh huh. Made me sad.

I just looked over their website but it doesn't list where Pond Bay is, I hope they didn't just take out the "Salt". Do you or anyone know where it will be built? it says first phase completion by winter 2008-2009.

yup, I got it too. No talk about price. Sounds scarey.. I looked it up on line - Pond Bay. Right in chocolate hole, on the beach. Just a drawing for now. Hate to see more development on St John. Lets see what really happens.

We passed by that area everyday on the way to our villa. Chocolate Hole East Rd, big old ugly open space, all fenced in, not much going on. Beach? What beach? I don't think the view will be that great either.

When we were there in June they were ripping out all the vegetation for Pond Bay and putting up the fence. It was the quickest I've ever seen work done in STJ.

I didn't get the mailing. But then given how long it usually takes to build a project on STJ and my age, I would have been easily eliminated as prospective buyer.

Pond Bay has been in the works for a decade or more.
There were many people in Chocolate Hole against it.
I think the thing that they have that most don't is E'Spa........
soon come and we will see.
I agree St. John has to much development.
It is strange 'cause from what I hear no one is living in Grande Bay and most who do own want to sell.
The only development no one seemed annoyed by (correct me if I am wrong) was Gallows many yrs ago and even Lavender Hill.
No one seems to be annoyed at Virgin Grand Estates up on Gifft Hill either or we just do not see alot of writing about it

Nope, we did not get it, and there is no way we would buy into that project anyway.
I did get the renewal notice for our membership in the Friends of the Virgin Island National Park the other day though!
