Looks like the "Christmas winds" are hanging on!

It is blowing a little harder than normal and we have had several cold fronts blow through. I talked to some friends that were out sailing today and it was blowing 25 sustained and 5 to 7 foot seas. As sailor girl said the Christmas Winds just haven't given up. I was out for a couple of hours today with a charter guest to do a briefing and it was very windy even in the harbor.

When we were there last week this was a topic around the island. Everyone was saying that the snorkeling wasn't as good because the winds just won't seem to die down. We even had a very rough ferry ride back to Red Hook this past Saturday when the ferry staff ran back and told everyone to sit down as they checked to see if they lost any luggage as we hit two very large swells that sent water into the passenger seating area and it takes alot for them to look worried!

Beautiful today - winds have died down (so far anyway) to almost nothing - a "normal" Febuary day :)

I'm flying down on Saturday for a catamaran holiday in the BVI's and USVI's. Anyone know the wind and sea
predictions for next week. Are the winds supposed to
die down a bit???

So I just looked on the weather and it's 77 today (5 pm). Is that considered chilly?
We've got 32 days to go. We want warmer. At least it looks like the winds have died down.
