There's an article on boston.com today abot Maryanne O'Hara and her upcoming book that I thought some of you might be interested in reading:

I'm really looking forward to her book. I used to go hiking at the Quabbin a lot when I lived out that way.

I finally had time to sit down and read this weekend! I finished "An Embarassment of Mangoes," which I'd started in May on St. John. I also read "The Sometimes Daughter" by Sherri Wood Emmons. Liked this one alot! http://www.amazon.com/Sometimes-Daughte ... s+daughter

I had my public radio interview on Launch Day, and guess where the host had just vacationed, saying it was the best, most relaxing place ever???

You guessed it.

Last night I finished reading Cascade. Today, I have that slightly empty feeling one gets when a good friend has gone home following a glorious and happy visit. I highly recommend this book!!!

I finished Cascade a couple of days ago as well. I would really like to discuss it at some point, but I don't want to say anything about it in detail yet since I know most who post to this thread plan to read it. For now I will just second lprof's recommendation to read it.

Reading Cascade now and am amazed at Maryanne's depth of knowledge. From art to Shakespeare etc. Really captures the history of the depression era.
Really impressed and can't put it down.

I'll definitely be picking up Cascade as my next book. The writing in the preview made me very interested to hear the rest of the story. Well done!

I finished Cascade about an hour ago! I am left a little empty as I did not want it to end. I truly enjoyed every page.
Thank you, Maryanne, it was a joy to read!
Can't wait to discuss it with those that have read it!
