Back to the frozen north!

Just got back this afternoon from our first week on St John. What a beautiful island! No wonder so many of you go back and back and back ...!!
Here's a brief overview of our week in paradise:
Villa South Palm is incredible! We thought that the pictures on the website (which are beautiful), didn't do it justice ... it's even better than the pictures show. Some construction noise, but we didn't let it ruin anything.
Great restaurants and food: Uncle Joe's BBQ (twice), Miss Lucy's for Sunday jazz brunch, Skinny Legs for burgers, Zozo's, Lime Inn, Morgan's Mango, Chateau Bourdeaux and Windy Level.
Driving was not a problem ... "jus' stay lef' mon". Lots of hills and twists and turns, but not a lot different than some of our roads to the ski hills (without the snow!).
Finished my PADI Open Water Diver Certification with Low Key Watersports and they were extremely helpful and a lot of fun to hang out with. I came down with a horrible cold and they were very accommodating to the changes in my schedule and did everything they could to help me get finished.
Spent a couple of days at Maho and Trunk Bays, laying on the sand, walking the beaches, snorkeling, swimming, etc.
Got to meet StJohnRuth ... HI RUTH! She's a great ambassador for the island and has a great store to top it off (not sure how many bottles of hot sauce we wound up buying!). Also got to meet Sloop Jones ... take the time to drive out to East End and visit them there. A beautiful spot and warm, welcoming people!
It'll probably be a couple of years until we get back, but WE WILL BE BACK, hopefully for 2 weeks next time.
A big "thank you" to everyone here who helped out with tips and opinions on things to do, see, etc. You're a wealth of information!!
