What's the story with the 1pm CA ferry to STJ??

Last week, I read on this forum that the 1pm downtown ferry to STJ was a "smaller" ferry and if the seas were rough or if it was raining, some people (and luggage!) were getting wet. We arrive on Saturday, November 4th -- does anyone know if they are still running the little ferry? I must admit, I have been watching the "webcam" at the appropriate time (yes, I know I should be working, but....) and I can't tell what's going on. we have never taken the downtown ferry before, but this time, our flight gets in early enough to perhaps try it. :) many thanks

Sunlover - We just returned from a great trip to St. John. We took the CA ferry and yes it was a small one and yes my luggage and I got soaked. It poured (unexpectedly) and everyone up top moved down below, where you got less wet, but when it stopped, the attendants toweled off the upper seats and we went back up trying to dry things in the bright sunshine. Alas it started to rain once again. We went further below that time and stayed dry. But when I arrived home 13 hours later my checked bags had damp clothes in them from the rain on the ferry. We still had a great time.
