Now that my trip to St. John is done, I am off to the next adventure... The Polar Plunge (for Special Olympics). When you live in a cold climate, you need things to help pass the time until spring comes. So, they will cut a hole in the ice of Lake Monona and many of us crazy folks will jump in!

Here is a video of a local plunger preparing himself for the big day. I guess I better get started....

(I'm thinking maybe Pete, Marcia, Chickadee, Waterguy, Sea-Nile, etc you may want to join me??)

As a show of solidarity, I will look for a frozen over lake in my area. If I find one, I'll auger a hole in it, and jump in!

If I can't find one I'll drink a frozen blender drink really fast!

Just make sure you dunk your head so they don't call you a whimp

Maybe you can find that frozen lake in Key West. Oh no – it’s the frozen drink you can find there. I’ll be ready with the hot towel for you when the sinus freeze hits.

Back in the younger days, we would Polar Roll. Significant snow + hot tub + booze + couple of carefree young adults = you get the picture. (that hot tub was nothing but trouble and Hub still complains that I wouldn't take it along when we moved.)

Cops were likely called because someone would screamed like a little girl when he hit the snow.

Three polar-rollers will be together for the upcoming St. John trip.

Yeah, and the really drunk ones would run up into the neighbor's yard and do a lap around the shed and back after they rolled.

Sounds like fun PA girl! I'm sure I'll screaming like a little girl too once I hit the water.

Augie - thanks for your support and watch out for that brain freeze - I hate that!!

Now all of you, doesn't it sound a bit like Sea-Nile is going to jump in with me?? The more the merrier!!!
