Has anyone done only carry-on for a two week stay? I'm thinking I can just take the basics, bum around stuff, buy some new t's, etc. and leave some old stuff behind. I'm thinking minimal amount of "stuff"!
Since we're having spirits delivered, buying toiletries on-island (no 3 oz bottles for me!), the biggest thing in my carry-on will be short fins. What am I forgetting????

And me. Does your villa have washer/dryer? If so, go for it. Take a rolling carry on and a back pack and that should do it.

Waterguy, if I can zip you into my carry-on bag, you can go!

That was my thought, Ksea. The old backpack and carry-on will get this girl through 14 days in paradise! The Orion's Hill Villa does have washer/dryer.

If your villa has a washer/dryer, you'll be fine.
Do y'all think you have time to train me on carry-on only before November? I'm seriously thinking about it.
Hopefully the diet will work out, since fat people clothes take up so much more space, even shorts and tank tops!

I have a suitcase size spacebag that you roll the air out of. It works great, keeps clothes from wrinkling and is great for damp or unwashed clothes on the way home!

Will have to leave your head outside the bag! The rest of you can be rolled up.

I'm sure ya can do it no problem. We did it for ten days and we brought a bunch of food. Let us know what ya think of Orions when ya get back. We'll be there in May looks nice for the price.

We did a four island BVI hop with no washers/dryers using only knapsacks and a snorkel bag in 2004. We washed a few things in the sink with Woolite. You can buy Woolite in single serving packs that travel well.
A trick that worked well in the Czech Republic was to use a gallon zip lock for washing. I had no plug for the sink and this worked fine for shirts and socks.

ghm...we do three weeks carry-on only...so you can do two with no worries!

Here's a post that I've made a couple times recently re: shipping notions etc.
Every March we ship a package (bug spray, notions, snorkel gear etc.) to Connections in Cruz Bay. We LOVE the service and it allows us to travel carry-on only. The process is very easy. Simply email the girls at Connections asking to set up an account. Provide your name, address, phone number, local contact, arrival date, number of packages you are sending and the date you are sending it. If you are sending more than one package...label 1of2 2of2 (for expample). Print your last name very clearly on each side of your box for easy identification. They will charge a nominal fee for holding the package depending on how large it is and how long they have to trip over it! HA! We have found over the years that the best results come from using Connections physical address AND PO Box number...for whatever reason. The girls are great and will gladly help you with any questions!

We always ship priority with confirmation. You will receive a tracking number that you can use online to confirm receipt of your package. We ship two weeks before we plan on arriving on island! Good Luck! You'll love it!
