I just saw that the newest forumite is Shipwreck Pat who I believe might be the owner of Shipwreck Landing, which has maybe got my favorite seat in the whole world, [meaning which ever barstool I sit on the next time I'm down there!].

I thought Shipwreck Pat was a SpongeBob Square Pants character!? As long as he makes a strong Dark & Stormy I'm happy.

Shipwreck Pat-
We will be stopping by in about 10 days. Do I need a reservation( ha ha)? Last year when I went they had a full house from a cruise ship tour. I never thought I would see that when we started going to St. John in 1992. Thanks for the great lunches & drink over the years!

Welcome Shipwreck Pat! I hope you are from Shipwreck Landing in Coral Bay. We love it there! We will be back in June and it is tops on our list. The bar seats are the best!

Shipwreck has the very best key lime pie! Tastes like they grew the limes and squeezed the juice right there. We love the "ambiance" and always have several meals there.

Yeah, well, gee, Jorge, her profile location says "STJ" and occupation says "restaurant owner" and the owner of Shipwreck Landing has a name of "Pat". Now this ol' punkin' chunkin' redneck hillbilly might not add and subtract quite as fast as some of you lowlanders, but I thought it might be a pretty good assumption that Pat could be the notorious owner of a fine eating establishment that serves great food and even better tasty beverages.

Under the "Coral Bay restaurant" thread, Shipwreck Pat enlightened everyone as to the fate of the sweet dog "Taco" who used to hang around the restaurant. My guess is that Pat is the owner. We'll be visiting Shipwreck for the first time week after next. Can't wait.

Wow! Thank you all for the kind words about Shipwreck. I am new to this blog stuff(Is that the correct term?)As any of you that know me, I am of the age where computer talk is not a first language. I was directed here by someone via email looking for our location on an aerial photo of Coral Bay. Thanks, Sloop for getting it right.
I was intrigued by all the conversations between you St John lovers and thought I may want to put in my two cents now and again, along with any new info or happenings at Shipwreck.
We are in full season swing now with our live music, so here is the current schedule with all bands playing 7-10pm:
Wed Steve Simon and The Jazz Islanders
Thurs Rich Greengold and Slammin'
Sun The Coral Bay Hot Club
We also have a Memphis Blues Band named FreeWorld Jams playing on Feb 5 and Chicago Blues man Danny Draher is our guest during St John Blues week. He will be playing at Shipwreck the Friday before the concert.
Happy that you all love Shipwreck as much as I do and we will be waiting with a rum punch for you all season.
Pat
PS RickG laughed about reservations, but Coral Bay has
grown up. We now have electricity, flush toilets
and take reservations

You guys were closed for the season during our first STJ stay, in October, but we'll be staying in Coral Bay next time, and have moved the visit back to early November, so hopefully we'll get a chance to stop by, say hello, and take you up on that rum punch!
Welcome to the forum!

I had the yummiest fish tacos at your restaurant last year. I'm looking forward to eating there again in April!

Welcome Pat. Love your restaurant. Last year, we tried to get there for lunch but there wasn't a parking spot to be had.

We will try again in June. Looking forward to it.

Pat, I'll be there with my girls for Jazz Fest. Looking forward to it! We'll come by that Friday for fun, but I think lunch earlier in the week will be our chance to have a rather quieter time!! Though, my daughters would just as soon sit at the bar and chat with Donna.
Cheers, RickG
