What a great idea! I tried it twice, but it returned no results either time. Wonder what I did wrong?

Anthony - Yes. I filled in my criteria and hit "go fish". It said "your search returned no results" please try again. So I did...and same response.

search hiccups

Ksea - Thanks for checking out the site. We found out yesterday about a bug in the search. Instead of checking off "children welcome" you can check off "great for families". Please let me know if this solves the issue. We hope to have it fixed by the end of the day.

There are a lot of search criteria, and we have tested and tested... but there are always bugs. We rely on feedback from our users to squash them. Thank you!

We've gotten an incredibly positive response from the site, and from our guests. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks!

waterguy - sorry you are having trouble with the search, you can email us your criteria and we can try to recreate the search, find the bugs, and give you a list of villas.

I too have tried several combinations of searches. A couple of times I received matches, but they did not match my search criteria. :(
Let's sqash those bugs! Once it is operating correctly, I will be a fantastic search tool!

We've needed something like this for a long time.

It looks like things are working better today. Compound searches are not working, though. "pool" works. "internet" works. "pool internet" does not work.

The advanced search seems to work pretty well.

Something to consider: people are pretty much indoctrinated in the Google query language: search terms, seperated by white space with an implicit AND. Act that way and people will think this just works.

I think decent search with availability that works is a big differentiator. Caribbean Villas has that going for them for a long time.

Comment: I prefer to see rates by the week, inclusive of all fees and taxes in the search results. I recognize this is not a standard practice, but I would like to see the actual cost.

I'd love to see comments and reviews with rankings for each villa. It might be a good idea to moderate the comments, but lightly.

Cheers, RickG

Im glad RickG mentioned how the rates are displayed. I think most of us would like to know the weekly rental rate plus taxes and any other additional fees plainly disclosed. I did not notice if there was a "listing by location" like CV has, but that is very handy as well!

I went to the site and tried the example search parameters, BBQ Grill, Hammock, and Satellite TV and they returned 1, 9, and 12 results respectively.

I would expect more than that.
