We're looking at these two for our fall trip. We'll have seven adults, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the layout of Indigo is good for couples. They don't have the layout online (grrr).

We're staying at Indigo in March. Haven't seen it, but I understand that 2 BRs are in the adjacent building/guest house---1 BR up, 1 BR down. In the main house, the Great Room is on the upper level, and 2 more BRs are on the lower level. If you search the word "Indigo" there was a good review by someone who stayed there last summer.

If you use the search function and put in indigo you'll come up with numerous threads. One in particular, by Mike, on July 19, 2007 had a great description from when he stayed there. Looks like Iowa Guy is heading there for spring break too. I'd paste in the link if I knew how, but I don't.

Thanks guys. I've read Mike's review, but I was wondering if there were others. Specifically, those with pictures (clearing throat sound meant to indicate hint to iowa guy).
We won't be booking until the March-April timeframe, so I'll keep an eye out for your report.
I couldn't seem to easily put my finger on a Watercliff review.

I don,t think I would say that Indigo is great for more than 2 couples. The 2 bedrooms below the great room are really small and kinda dark. You have to walk around to the other side to enter the house.Their nice but much smaller than the 2 in the wing.
The small bedrooms are fine for kids who in my humble opinion are just lucky to be there but I wouldn't want to stay in them.It just depends on what you are use to.
The villa itself is great.Never stayed in an all A/C villa and I hope it didn't spoil me.The crow's nest above the bedroom wing is an awesome place to sit.It would be a great place for couples to just relax and look at the stars or sunsets.
The great room and kitchen conprise the main level of the villa with a killer wrap around porch and pool area with great breezes for reading. As stated, the 2 smaller bedrooms are below this area and both open to the outside with no porch or patio.
The 2 larger bedrooms are next door with the crow's next on top.For someone as lazy as me,I found that there was too much walking up and down stairs to move around the villa for my liking but I would definately stay there again and that is about the best thing anyone could say about a villa, especially with all the choices.
I hope this helped you alittle

Thanks Mike. That does really help. My husband will be sad to read this though - he really likes the look of the place. We're either going to be five or seven adults, and I think we want to find a place with somewhat equal bedrooms.

He'll get over it.It really is a nice place to stay.It was the first time in 6 years we didn't stay on the north shore and I really enjoyed Great Cruz Bay and being able to watch all the people coming and going.Incidently,if I remember correctly Indigo is owned by someone from Atlanta but I might be wrong. What if any have you done about airfare? We are going the last week in May and the prices have been to high to book.Taking the family I have to shop and last July we drove to Atlanta and took Spirit. It was pretty good and dist cheap.Around $250.00/person.I sure hope they come off their $450.00 price pretty soon or I,m going to be eating sandwiches all week down there.
I hope you find a great place to stay.My all time favorite for equal bedrooms was Casa Del Sol but alas they don't rent it anymore. The nerve of some people. We stayed there 5 to 6 times and I figure I have payed for at least the rights to one bedroom.

The nerve of them to pull your fav house off the rental market! That does really have to stink. It's harder than I thought to find a suitable villa for everyone's needs.
I'm working will an on-island villa agent now to find some other ideas for us.
We got lucky with airfare. We're using Delta FF miles, so the trip is free for us. Our friends still have to buy though. Two are coming from ATL, two from Chicago and one from Philly. We used Spirit for our trip last July and really liked them as well. I think we paid $299 with all taxes. Nothing beats the Delta non-stop coming out of Atlanta though, but it is always expensive.

Round trip on Delta out of Jackson is 850.00.Ouch,it's okay for me and my wife but not bringing kids along.I usually have to use Skychoice out of Jackson and it really wipes out the miles.I cleaned ours out last May to go to SJ.Free trips to SJ are always the best.
