Just returned home on Wed from our week in paradise at Bongo Bongo. Of course the villa was awasome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We met Jeff and Russ in passing at the airport. That was cool.
I will write a detailed report with pics as soon as life slows down a little. Highlights included, renting a boat with Capt for the day. We went to Jost van Dyke, Norman, and did some great snorkeling. We also rented a dinghy and toured around St John of a full day. Lunch a Miss Lucy's was great, as well as appetizers at the Balcony, Beach Bar, and dinner at ZoZo's.
We just love this island so much. It is really hard to return to life here in the States. I just can't seem to get my head out oIt of the sand. I know that I am in good company here though! We will be back in 3 weeks, but just for a day stop on a family reunion cruise.

Just to the right side of bongo bongo is a new villa under construction. There was no work going on there at all for the week that we were there. We could also see the clearing of land for the new Pond Bay develpment. We only heard some large trucks moving dirt around once or twice. If all else fails, the villa has a great sound system

Glad you had a great time! of course, how could you not??!!
When you get to your detailed review, I'd love to hear more about renting a dinghy & your adventure going around the island in it....who, what when, where, how..you know; all the details. We're thinking about doing this & would love to hear of your experience with this.

Sounds like you have a wonderful time

Question: Who was your captain? Was this a private booking or with other people? We did an excursion last year on New Horizons II and had a wonderful time. However, this year we are interested in a private charter for the day with our family. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences and tips

Our capt. was Tony. He was great. Very knowledgable of the areas, and very personable. I would request him again in a minute. We rented from Ocean runner. It was a private charter for the four of us. A 29 ft(I think) boat was around $530 plus $150 for fuel and $100 tip. It was worth every penny!!!!!

That would be my dream to go back in 3 weeks after just leaving! ...but then again, it would be torture to only stay one day!!!
