Hi -
Looking for the best places to grab lunch - esp interested in places where it is very casual and where you could go in after being at the beach in the morning.

Also where is Vie's?

I second the suggestion for Sun Dog - we loved it. Great veggie burgers. Also, either Deli Grotto or Baked in the Sun are good, casual places to go. The Beach Bar has decent food as well. These suggestions are all in the Cruz Bay area.

If you're out on the east end stop by Vie's Snack Shack.

The menu is somewhat limited, but what she serves is very good, and you can't get any more casual!

I like Sun Dog too.

The Balcony is great for lunch...good menu and casual enough for lunch.

If near Coral Bay...we had a very pleasant lunch at Island Blues....on the water with wonderful breezes.

All good places.

Suggest you stop by the Deli Grotto some morning and pick up sandwiches to bring along to the beach.

I love lunch at Shipwreck Landing if you are on the Coral Bay side...great blackened chicken and conch fritters.

Vie's Snack Shack is on the roadside. Head out to the East End and its on the left. You can't miss it.

I love the Sun Dog cafe and Shipwreak Landing. Also, could eat the Tuna Down Now at the Beach Bar all week long. Banana Deck was good for Sunday brunch too. I have vague recollections of a Bloody Mary Bar there.

Mary Beth--my information could be dated. This was a couple of years ago.

You made me go lookin' :) Here's what the Banana Deck website says:
Don't forget about our world infamous SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY Bloody Mary Bar. Make your own kick ass 24oz Bloody mary. It'll help take the shakes away after a saturday night in Cruz Bay. If you want to tone it down a notch we proudly serve local Island Brews from St. John Brewers as well as the mainland staples. Located right downtown we are a short walk from the ferry dock, just a flight up and a world away.

I concur.
