The schedule is out for Spring Break's St. John Blues Fest. Frank Barnako has a good summary at
http://barnako.typepad.com/news_of_st_j ... .html#more.
The March 20th show is walking distance from our house! I hope it goes late.
This is looking like a very good Zydeco and Cajun lineup. We don't get to see Chubby Carrier in the DC area, but he books a lot of bands and his Father Roy Carrier played at one of our big events and his cousin Dikki Du hits DC. This is going to make a great week perfect!!

I know this is probably a crazy wish, but it would be cool if we could find someplace cheap to stay Saturday night. That way we could go to the concert Saturday night, get up the next morning and hit a St. John beach, then hit the Beach Bar for the closing party and forum meeting. Instead of having to get back to Cruz Bay Saturday night, take the ferry to Red Hook, then drive to the west side of St. Thomas to go home and then turn around and do the same on Sunday. I'll have to check into that cuz it sounds like a lot of fun. Any ideas?

Yeah, we have to leave on Saturday in order to get the kids more than 3 hours sleep before they are back at school. I would check the VRBO listings.

Rick I am jealous - I would love to see Tab Benoit on STJ!!! He plays at Jazz Fest every year and last year it was the first weekend so hopefully you'll get to see him here as well.
The stuff they say about the wetlands on the STJ Blues Festival sight brought tears to my eyes - thanks for the link.
Have an awesome time and get prepped for Jazz Fest!

I would check the Inn at Tamarind Court. If you bring your car over you will have a clean room to sleep in and even though you will be in Coral Bay for the Festival, you wil have your own car to drive back to town with.

We were trying to get down there for that week. After reviewing the available villas, prices, kids going in braces, college tuition, etc. it ended up being a no go
Anyways, anyone that is going must go and see Reverend Raven on 3/18 at Island Blues &/or 3/19 at the Beach Bar. I'm not sure about the times.
www.reverendraven.com He is awesome. We've seen him 2 x at Summerfest and 1 time locally around Geneva Lake, WI. He was the reason we were trying to get down there at that time. Would have been awesome to see him on STJ... OH WELL...
