I know that some of you have been on island during Halloween and I'm wondering what types of activities and parties occur during that time? From what I gather, there's a kid's parade, a costume party at Morgan's Mango and a local's costume contest at the Beach Bar. Did I miss anything? It seems like it would be a really fun time and I'm just looking for any good excuse/justification to add on a few days to my trip. Tell me what I'm missing...... Thanks, Ali~

We were there once for Halloween. There was a little shop in Coral Bay selling costumes pretty cheap (was to the right of what used to be Pickles, but that building is vacant now I think). Went to the bash at Skinny's and had a GREAT time. Lots of people, all in costume, lots of drinks and it stayed pretty civil surprisingly. One girl and her boyfriend came as Adam and Eve - Sea Grape leaves downstairs, stuffed snake upstairs for her tied on with fishing line. Let's just say she had a little trouble keeping everything in place.

We've done Halloween 3 or 4 times. This year we started at the Tap Room and watched the kids trick or treating at Mongoose Junction. Morgan's had a party atmosphere, but much less than in the past. The Beach Bar was a lot of fun. We did not get over to Skinnys.

I recommend the pirate wench outfit. You could pull it off nicely.
