Traveling in June

Understand that crowds are light in June, which beaches should be the least crowded if any people on them. How about bugs, or does it just depend on the amount of rain they get the week before we go. Are the winds and waters fairly clam this time of year.
Thanks

June is a great time. If you will be there towards the end it may get a bit busier as Carnival approaches.
Even in the height of season you can find quiet beaches. Check the local paper on island to see when there are cruise ships in STT and stay away from Trunk bay that day.
I think that you will find that the weather will be great and who knows about bugs, they can be hit or miss.
When will you be on island? We will be there 6/7 - 6/14

We will be there in June from the 13-21. Need to make a correction its the 12-21. We found that the flight options were so much cheaper flying out the red eye on the 12.

We will be there the 20th -27th. We loved it last year at this time. Great weather, No rain, No crowds.
Hope to see you at the Beach Bar!

We will be on island June 28. My 18 year old would love to go to the beach bar. My 15 (almost 16 by then)will be saying how unfair it is that her brother can drink and not her. we can be the entertainment for the night

We'll be there the 7th-15th...first time on island with kids! This will be our 5th visit in 2 1/2 years, but have always vacationed there without the family...our kids are "older" (16-24) so we're not expecting a whole lot of difference in our trip...just wondering..is legal drinking age really 18 there?? Never had any reason to ask that before..just wondering...

We took our daughter for her graduation trip June of 06. She was 18 and she was able to have a drink if she wanted. We felt ok with that since she was with us and she was legal. She likes the Painkillers! We will be on island the same week as you with a 20 and a 10 year old. She can't wait for another Painkiller and neither can I!

18 is the legal drinking age. My now 16 year old daughter had to emphasize virgin daiquiris when she ordered at the age of 14. Still, mistakes were made.
Getting served under age is trivial on STJ.

We will be on STJ on June 28 - July 5th with 2 newbie families. We have been twice with our kids during that time and I think last year was really pretty busy but nothing we couldn't enjoy. Lots of weddings were taking place during our time there.
It is quite hot and humid - just how I like it! I did not notice much difference in the bugs from our trips in Jan/Feb. I think it depends more on the rain preceeding the trip. I always get attacked....
You will have a blast!
