What a nice wife! Is this his first Bruce show and do you get to go too?
Tips?
1) Don't expect "Rosalita".
2) If he stands, someone will complain that they can't see. If he sits, he'll get ridiculed for sitting at a Bruce show.
3) Don't boo Patti.
Just kidding with ya. He'll have a great time. Note that there is no opening band.
MB, did you hit the century mark yet?? I know it was around 88 pre-Magic.

Thanks for the tips! It is the St. Patty's Day show and I got the tickets on ebay. The show isn't sold out yet, but the seats still available aren't any good. I was going to do general admission in the area where you can stand, but I was able to find some just to the side of the stage and the fourth row!
I'm not going, but got a few friends to get tickets and join him. I'll have to go out and get that new CD now too!
I'll tell him not to expect Rosalita!!

Tracy, has he ever seen him before?
A little history lesson re: Milwaukee - back in 1975 Bruce and the band performed there and the show became known in the bootleg circles as "The Bomb Scare Show". There was an actual threat during the show and the venue had to be cleared out.
I'm pretty sure I have that boot around some where. If you'd like I could look for it and send you a copy.
Here are some notes on that now famous show:
The famous bomb scare incident show, where the performance had to be stopped for over 90 minutes due to a phone-in bomb threat. The pre-bomb scare part of the show circulates only as an audience recording – however the remainder of the performance is circulating as a pro-recorded soundboard. The band had spent its time during the delay in a nearby bar and it’s evident as the show gets back underway that Bruce has had a few drinks - repeatedly and hilariously asking the audience "Are you loose?” during “Little Queenie” (the first circulating version of this song with the E Street Band). There is also an exceptionally long rendition of “E Street Shuffle” that includes a 14-minute intro! The second set also exists on audience shot amateur film. Available on boot CDs ‘MILWAUKEE BOMB SCARE SHOW’ (Mistral) or ‘WE HAD TOO MUCH TO DRINK LAST NIGHT’ (BS).

MB - You are atrue fan aren't you??!! I think my hubby saw him pre-marriage once but I am not certain. I got him tickets because one day this past summer (he'd kill me if he knew I was posting this..) we were listening to a song on The Rising CD. He was telling me a bit about the story behind the song and became choked up. He rarely gets choked up, but this particular CD really meant something to him - and for good reason.
If you have that Boot thing, I'd love a copy. Don't go to too much trouble though.
Thanks!
Tracy

I've seen him twice - the first time when Darkness on the Edge of Town was new - in a small theater that held aybe 800 people, and again when Born in the USA was new - in the Orange Bowl.
I'd love to be able to see him again, but I have the Madison Square Garden DVD.

I just went back to my "list" and it seems I was counting some shows where Bruce was present but it wasn't his show per se (ie Alliance of Neighbors shows in 2001). So now I'm taking those out of my count. As it stands, with my last show in Boston, the count is at 94 ... stay tuned!

There's also a few "Crazy" blogs floating out there too.
Good to hear from another Bruce fan from the Garden State! Is that redundant?
