Election Day on STJ-- alcohol sold?

Here in PA, restaurants are not permitted to serve alcohol until the polls close on Election Day. You also cannot buy liquor or beer anywhere. Since we'll be on STJ Tuesday, November 7th, I was wondering whether there was something similar that happens on STJ (I sure hope not!), or if PA is unique? When we visited on Good Friday, no alcohol was allowed to be served in the afternoon...

We've spent many election day in SJ as the first 2 weeks of November is our traditional time to be there. No, there are no restrictions on selling alcohol. (We switched it up this year for the first 2 weeks of December. It will be the first time I didn't have to vote by absentee ballot in many years.)

I've never had a problem on election day. I seem to remember a restriction on Good Friday or some other surprising day....

Boy that would be cruel.

Election day is a day when
a good stiff drink might
be almost necessary...no
matter your leanings.

Who's been here?
