Bet that got your attention, huh? LOL well there really was no bourbon involved but today was the day we set out to get Charlie his Johnny Walker Blue. He had priced it everywhere we went and it turned out that Lily's in Coral Bay was the cheapest that we found on island. Just a note, it seemed to me the liquor prices were up quite a bit from last year but maybe my memory is off. I recall paying somewhere around $4-5 a bottle for the Cruzan rums last year and this year the cheapest we found was around $8. Still much cheaper than home but it seemed high for there.
As for prices there was no one place that was consistently cheaper on every item. Best price we found this year for Cruzan was Mixology but best price on the Champagne we drink was Lily's. It was all over the map.
We don't normally bargain hunt on vacation but on the Blue it made quite a difference. Mixology had it for $195 which is more than it is in NJ last I checked, Starfish was like $165, Pine Peace $160, Lily's $145. Last year we paid $135 at Mixology and we got a free JW tote bag
We headed out toward Lily's but ventured out the east end first. Went out to Sloop Jones where I got a shirt and a pillow cover, note cards and Charlie got a koozie. Love the ride out there.
Did I mention I love the view from the villa?

Heading out east

Met these guys along the way

Vie's was open so we stopped in after Sloop's for a snack

the chicken was good but next time I'm going to order the chicken but hold the chicken and just load up the plate with johnny cakes!!!!!!!!

We did our thing at Lily's and possibly a few other stores, I don't recall now. On the way back we stopped at Chateau Bordeaux overlook which somehow I missed last year. It is just lovely there.

I didn't write down any notes this day so my memory is sketchy. Based on my photos I think we got smoothies (pineapple coconut YUM) and headed back to the villa for lunch. Before that may have been when we hit Maho but somehow I have no pictures from Maho
I know I was at Maho one day so I'm going to say this was the day!
Lunch was last night's left overs on a ciabatta bread.

Again, no notes so I guess we spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool, nothing else is coming to mind.
That night's dinner was at Stone Terrace. I had given Charlie a gift certificate there for our one year anniversary. We had not been there before so we were looking forward. Headed in to town around 6:30 or so, had a few drinks at High Tide and then dinner at 7:45. My only complaint here is that we didn't get a table on the terrace. I should have asked about that when I made the reservation but I didn't - oh well. Next time!
The food, wine (Turley White Coat) and service were excellent. We had wine other nights but this night and La Tapa were memorable otherwise didn't mention them.
Starters were the tomato tart tatin for me and country salad for him:

I had the lobster 3 ways and Charlie had the Sirloin.

We even had dessert. Charlie had a gift cert. so I told him to go for whatever he wanted
not that I would stop him otherwise anyway but the GC took a little stress off the credit card!
He had a chocolate creme brulee and I was going to pass but the waitress sold me on cheesecake. I don't normally like cheesecake but she assured me this was light and delicious so I said ok and she was soooooo right. This was good! Pardon the blur on the cheesecake picture

Excellent, excellent, excellent!
