Little tip do preprint boarding passes avoided a huge line was inside in ten minutes. Only problem was flight had been delayed but didn't have anything stating this inside so while everyone was changing there flights so they might be able to make there connecting flight we just sat there like all was good.Make sure to check for a delay before entering the customs line becuase by the time we discovered this all San Jaun flights had been taken could have made our connecting flight if we had started the process earlier.

What is the deal with pre-printed boarding passes? Every time I have printed mine they end up printing me new ones anyway so I never understand the point. Can someone enlighten me?

It only is an advantage if ya do carry on only. Get to skip the big airlines checkin line. If ya check baggage ya get the pleasure of that line anyways so don't preprint if this is the case.

I also was wondering about pre-printing but being that we won't be doing carry-on only now I know not to worry about it.
Our STJ travelling friends were at our house for dinner last night and we got on the topic of luggage. I told them that I was going to take a picture of the group's mountain o' bags and post it in my trip report.

I thought about taking a picture of our 10 bags, but I was too ashamed! Next year = carry on only. Will ship a box or two ahead as well.

I should take a picture of the bed in my spare room right now

Oh, it will be bad based on the size of the group.
I really don't take that much but it is the non-clothing things that add up for us - snorkel gear, camera and related accessories, books and magazines, kid-gear, etc.
My husband, on the other hand, is ridiculous. He will deny it but he takes way too much clothing (3 or 4 bathing suits last trip) and shoes (at least 3 pairs) a soft-sided cooler, huggies.
Don't even get me started on my girl friend, who matches each outfit to a pair of shoes.
My goal is to have the spare room "packing ready" right after Christmas.

I see those women a lot of places and more times than not it is not appropriate!
Seriously, do you need those shoes at a rock concert in a hockey arena? I just don't get it .. but I'm no fashion guru so what do I know????

We were newbies this past Feb and had been so used to traveling places where we felt the need to dress up; i.e. Atlantis, so we overpacked for STJ in a BIG way. Now we know better..."take half the clothes and twice the cash." While we can't do carry-on only with all of our kids, we certainly will be showing up with a lot lighter luggage this time. What a relief to know you don't need to bring all of those coordinating shoes, purses, etc. I'm thinking I'll be packed in no time this trip. Can't wait.

Pia - that is very amusing to me too. My honeymoon outfits (which really weren't all that fancy, just new and very match-y match-y) seem so over the top compared to what I take now.
