Hi Naturegirl....
I have less then 48 hours to get everything together. At this point I start to obsess with everything. Do I really need 5 pairs of shorts? How many flip flops and what color. Do I need something a little bit dressy for a nice dinner out? We're so bad at packing that we're even bringing a box fan because we sleep with one everynight. Anybody else like that? I've given up even thinking about bringing beach chairs.
Right now we have 1 big suitcase with our snorkel gear in it and I hope to fit all the clothes on top of that. Then I have all those things that you must have to last only a week in the islands. One backpack and we're good to go.
I'll be so glad when we're on the plane and I can relax. Next time somebody else plans the trip.

I hear you Connie. In my mind I will be packing light but I already have things stacked up in a spare bedroom to take with us. I don't know how we are going to fit it all in 1 large suitcase and 2 carryons but I will worry about that when the time comes.
I'm so excited for you! 48 hours, yeah! I wish you patience, elimination of cold symptoms and a very safe trip. How long are you going to be there?

CJ- When you get there we'll be on the last leg of our trip (boohooo) but at least we will get to spend a day on the boat and Jost with you guys! I'm sure we'll have some stories to tell! We'll ask around on island if anyone is interested in sharing a charter on the 24th. You never know. See you and Debbie then!!!
Ksea- I know how you feel but the forum helps so the time go by so quickly. We booked almost 8 months ago and here we are, 10 days away!

Hi Connie -
I hope you're feeling better!
I brought three pairs of shorts, and did a load of laundry while at the villa. It worked out very nicely that way - I didn't overpack. I took two pairs of sandals, and only wore one pair all week. I had one dressier top, but we didn't really go to any of the fancier restaurants (are there even any?) and things were just fine. All the rooms in our villa had ceiling fans - maybe yours will, too, and you won't have to worry about the box fan. The only reason we ended up checking in luggage was because of the snorkel gear. We need to rethink that next time.
You're going to have such a wonderful time! Enjoy!!!
