TD Noel

Okay, weather geek back at it. At least this time I'm not calling it an "invest" anything. But, this is the system I mentioned a few days ago.
Tropical Depression Noel (apparently, it's pronounced "nol" or "knoll" not like the Christmas Noel) has formed.
What does this mean for the USVI? A bit more rain...Noel is a very slow moving storm system. Noel is located south and west of the Virgin Islands but, because of the slow movement of the storm and the reduced wind sheer in the Caribbean, the bands of rain will extend outward and last longer than a more "compact" storm that moves quickly.
There is a little bit of something just to the east of this mess, too. But, wind sheer looks strong there and it will probably fall apart before it becomes anything.
