Ok, so I'm sitting at my desk here in the office (admittedly it's a nice office with a big window looking out over N. Fairfax Drive in Arlington VA) and watching the rain pour down outside. While its MUCH NEEDED rain it's still rain and it makes me want to take a NAP.

I've got a pile of work to do and all I can do is think about STJ!! Just 35 more days and I will be able to take a deep breath! December 1st can't come soon enough! and no doubt Decmeber 11 (walk of woe) will come too soon.

I'm already starting to set aside stuff to pack for the trip. My goal is not to pack SO much- but i can already tell that this is going to be an uphill battle.

This will be my 8th trip down in 12 years and the first since 1998 that is just hubby and me. Scheduling with other folks (including FF and family) just didn't work this year.

We don't have an on island schedule, we don't have any plans, we are just going to BE.

Looking forward to meeting DC photo and her hubby at the airport. And looking forward to catching up with Charlie and hubby as well.

I want to say a special Thank You to the On-St John folks for the Jeep cam and the drives through town and on island. It's that kind of stuff that helps the days go by faster!

Also, I love reading everyone's trip reports. We have some amazing talent on this forum!

SO thanks to all for making this cold, wet, October Friday a little more bearable!!

Absolutely. I think we were also discussing the 9th to accomodate other folks. How long are you guys on island?

Im familiar with your Fairfax Drive location Gromit, I grew up in Arlington. Now Im in Loudoun where its been raining for two days straight as you know! Good thing you are in a nice office with a view! I had to do an auction this morning, outside in the rain. No worries though, Im home now doing fun stuff. Im envious of your short count down for sure!!

If hubby and I dodn't HOV in together -- I think I would be heading home EARLY!! Bummer about the auction in the rain. But at least you're warm and dry now!
