I finally felt cold this morning for the first time this Fall. I was walking the dog in a drizzle before dawn and it was about 50 degrees. It was the first time this Fall I thought, "Wow, I'd like to be warm."

Yes. Soon.

Cheers, RickG

Cold and rainy in CT today. I am wearing a turtleneck. It is about time fall got here, but without a STJ trip in the future, I may regret saying that.

For us it was wearing shorts and Tevas and about 80 one day, torrential downpours the next then, 50 degrees the next!

What happened to the in between???? Our 50 degree is much colder than 50 too because it's so damp here. It's a get down to your bones cold.

Anyway, I wished I was on STJ the last couple of days...wait, I do that every day  (in a way, cuz I do love New Orleans).

50 in central PA too and my 2 year old refused to wear a sweatshirt this morning. I was "that mom" dropping him off at daycare, the mom who doesn't have the energy to force him to be warm.

Cold and rainy in KY, too. I just heard my furnace come on. :(

RickG - Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your day with Capt. John. We just booked him for a day in April, and I can't wait.

I'm also looking forward to your trip report. You are obviously a very experienced STJ traveller, and I've enjoyed reading all your tips, etc. that you share with everyone.

I don't post much, but this is a great forum. Good advice and friendly people.

I'm freezing here in Tennessee. The only consolation is that it's probably much colder in Michigan, which is where I left (stopping briefly in Ohio on the way) to come here and escape the cold. I do believe I'm becoming a cold-weather wimp.

See ya on the island!!

Pjayer - I'll be on my soap box soon. I'm hoping to get some video on our trip with Palm Tree Charters.

I'm getting ready to head out into the weather. Not too bad if I remember to chant St. John's Bays in clockwise order.

Cheers, RickG
