Vacation Saver: Spray Aloe **Find**

Hey all, since we all love sharing unique **finds** on the board I thought I'd share one or two.

A couple of years ago we were down in the Keys with Flip Flop and hubby for my Birthday at Cheeca Lodge.

Anyway, we took a trek down to Key West for the day and I pleasantly "discovered" a shop called Key West Aloe. They had a lot of great items and I picked up a couple that looked interesting including some "TOO COOL" spray, as an afterthought. It's a clear spray that is 94% aloe and smells decent -- although there's no real odor per se.

Anyway, we were in Ft. Lauderdale this past February visiting a mentor of mine and I let my pasty white butt spend a little too much time in the pool floaty chair and I unceremoniouly burned the tops of my thighs badly. I was SO annoyed at myself -- because I really do know better.

Anyway, I had brought this Too Cool spray with me "just in case" and I have to tell you this stuff saved the rest of our trip.

There's no medication in it, but it immediately cooled the burn, kept it moisturized and it never did end up peeling. I just kept applying it on a regular basis. I also like the fact that it wasn't sticky and was very light. IMHO this stuff was a life saver.

Anyway, in prep for our trip Dec. 1 -11, I went on line and ordered some more "Just in case."

Here's the web address in case any one is interested in checking it out: http://www.keywestaloe.com/. Their prices seem pretty decent and they offer free shipping for orders over $75. I promise I don't work for these guys -- just a fan.

Also, when we were at the store I bought our corgis some of the doggie shampoo and refresher spray and it's great too. It's really great if your dog has any skin issues. Very soothing and it smells good.

I also thought I'd try a BUFF -- mentioned on this board a while ago. Seems like they might be useful as a functional fashion accessory! Here's the link to their main web site (from there you can link to other on line stores): http://www.buffwear.com/

Anyway, I am always on the lookout for good products of any kind... does anyone else have any they'd like to share?

What is a BUFF? I clicked on your link but it didnt work for me.
One item I was so glad I had was my Travelon cross body microfiber bag. I realize I looked like a dorky tourist wearing it  , but it held everything (camera, phone, wallet, sunglasses, passport, keys, trip report notebook, pen, and other stuff. I was hands free to take pics, fill out forms, shop, etc. They are sold on ebags.com and other places.

RE: Buff. Think of Matthew McConaughey & the wrap thing he wears on his head.

I just checked the link to Buffwear and it worked just fine. But if you want, google "Buff" and click on one of the top options. It's essentially a tube of stretchy, printed, multifunctional fabric. If you watch Survivor, it's what they give to the teams to wear.

Depending on how you fold/wear it, it can be a hat, headband, arm band, tube top, skirt (if you're skinny) you name it. The web site has a demo. They also make them in a UV protection fabric.

MBW-- the amount of hair has nothing to do with it-- I have thick hair and STILL get sunburned on my scalp. With all the fun colors I thought I would give this a try!

TUBE TOP!

I am not thinking that would work at all for me & my girls.

Anyway, I am a ballcap girl all the way.

Oh OK, I think us ex-biker chicks refer to them as "do-rags".

"TOO COOL" sounds nice. I like Aqua Glide and the ID Colada flavor is great too.
