Lunch?

What does the forum suggest for "Don"t Miss Lunch Spots?" We are familar with the places in Coral Bay as that is where we are staying, but plan to be on the North Shore beaches for most of the day.

Where is good for lunch in Cruz Bay and are there any places worth checking out on North Shore Road? We usually hit the beach in the morning, have lunch in the middle of the day to get out of the sun and head back to the beach in the afternoon. Also, the best lunch takeout in the Cruz Bay, North Shore area?

Thanks!

Sandwiches at Baked in the Sun are great for lunch. A lot of folks in our group also grabbed sandwiches at Deli Grotto throughout the week, but I never made it there. I also liked the sandwich of the day at The Beach Bar!

Of course, my favorite lunches have been cheeseburgers at Skinny Legs!

(I don't know if any of these places are "must do" kind of places, but they were my favorites.)

I second the Deli Grotto - the sandwiches are huge. Good food.

For Cruz Bay, I love Banana Deck for lunch. Excellent Greek Salad and Mahi wraps. Beach Bar is a great location too!

We really liked the Hightide location for afternoon lunches. We liked watching the ferry people. Good people watching. Nothing spectacular about the food or drink but not bad.

The Beach Bar is great as well. Awesome lunch food with a twist. Strong drinks!

I LOVE the Tuna Down Now at The Beach Bar, and SO likes the Blue Cheese Burgers or their Ribeye Steak Sanwhich. You can't top that view.

The tuna bites are great, too. The Beach Bar ended up being one of my favorite places and I kept finding myself back there day after day.

And the drinks are really strong. Thanks Doug and Dave!

The Beach Bar, the Banana Deck and Sun Dog Cafe are all really good. There aren't any places to eat on the North Shore Road that I know of except for the snack bar at Trunk and the restaurant at Cinnamon Bay. I think Maho Bay Campground has a lunch spot, but we haven't been so can't advise.

I am pretty sure there's a place to have lunch at Maho, but I haven't tried it either.

We took lunches in the cooler when we went to Trunk and Cinnamon.

On little Maho beach at Maho Bay Campground there is a small shack with beers on ice and (ususally) cold pre-made sandwiches. Not particularly reliable.

My favorite North Shore lunch is a sub from Mosquito Bites on Francis Bay!

For lunch in Cruz Bay, we enjoyed the Balcony. It was a rainy day and we were just knocking around town, and it started to clear up a little bit. We wanted seafood and a view, so we went to the Balcony. Its such nice view of the waterfront area. The service was great and so was the food. Hubby had the grilled mahi special and and I had the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. We had lime-n-de-coconut drinks, mine without the alcohol, and they were excellent. Nice tartness with the lime. I would go back again.

We like Joe's Ribs and the Ocean Grill. Save room for the banana cake at the Ocean Grill.

So many great suggestions that I"m going to have to print this page!

Thanks all! You are a great help with the planning.

Two weeks now! It will be our first time.

I don't think anyone mentioned Vie's - we love her garlic chicken and the johnny cakes. Also, shipwreck serves great fish 'n chips.
