USVI-On-Line

Does anyone know an outfit that will take my hubby (he's alone) out for a night dive? Out of Cruz or Coral bay (not from STT). He did a night shore dive last time and there were some issues & he ended up missing 1/2 of the dive. He was not a happy camper.

He's very experienced, has advanced open water certification, and really wants a cool night dive. However, though I am ok with daytime diving, Flip-Flop does NOT do the night time deal.

Low Key does night dives and night wreck dives. Just call ahead and let them know when you are interested in going. I imagine that the other dive operators do night dives as well. I like Low Key because I can go directly from bubbles to brew at the Beach bar.

No diving for me this trip. Jorge and I were planning on diving out of Caneel Bay, but Jorge had to postpone our trip. I've seen most everything worth diving in the area, but night dives change everything. I may need to get in a night snorkel while we are down.

I hear that Chris Sawyer has an operation off STJ now – check with them. Steph and I used them on STT and they were great.

Great start, guys. I knew I could count on you. He'll be so happy. He saw some great stuff on his last night dive, so he's really hoping to do a complete 2 tanks if possible!

Rick, have you ever shore dived off of Cinnamon Bay? We are staying at the campground there and thought it could be fun/convenient to shore dive out to the Cay. We also plan on a guided dive somewhere, so if you had any recommendations for a DO and area for this that would be appreciated.

Though I LOVE Colette and had a great experience with her (intro to diving), his experience was not as good on the night dive. I wasn't there so I don't have an opinion.

They had some equipment issues. Hopefully her stuff is all upgraded now, but he is jaded enough to not give it a 2nd shot. He doesn't want to waste time with dysfunctional equipment. He thought it was his error, but once he got back on shore and realized his bcd was inflating on its own he realized it wasn't him.

Sorry to hear he had trouble. I am afraid equipment failure goes with the sport. My wife a regulator malfunction on a charter once and it ruined a good dive so I feel his pain. Luckily there were spares on the charter boat so it didn't end the diving for the week.
