Chip has taken a new job that starts on the 15th.It is a great career move butit will require mandatory Saturdays for about 6 months.

We are heading to Boston this weekend as our last weekend away for a while and I have been searching to find the perfect places to eat. I am stumped for breakfast on Saturday morning near the Intercontinental.
Anyone?

East Coast Grill, Inman Square, Cambridge.
Jaspar's Summer Shack

Ooooooh, I'm so jealous.

Ruth has two good choices for dinners, I especially like East Coast Grill. Summer Shack has good raw bar and fried seafood, and John loves their pan-roasted lobster. Neither of these places are close by your hotel though.

X, are you looking for a sit-down eggy type breakfast or a bakery style caryout breakfast? I was just checking in briefly before bed, but can give you some recommendations for what you places you might like in the morning. Feel free to pm me if you want to take this discussion off board.

I definitely second East Coast Grill & Summer Shack - love them both!

For breakfast I've been wanting to try Elephant & Castle. I've been there for dinner, and I know they serve breakfast. It's a British pub style with a nice beer selection (probably not for breakfast though) and cute atmosphere. It's located at 161 Devonshire, 2 or 3 blocks from the Intercontinental. If you do try it, let me know how the breakfast is. :)

Our favorite is a little hole in the wall in the North End; open for breakfast/lunch only. A tad small and cramped, but the food is good and inexpensive.

Anthony's Cafe on the Waterfront @ 252 Commercial Street.

About a 15 - 20 minute walk from your hotel; along Atlantic Ave, pass the Marriott Long Wharf, then a right on Commercial, passing Christopher Columbus Park.

Expect a ton of folks in the city this weekend. Go Red Sox!!

I've never been there either - somehow never find myself in Boston that early in the morning. Looks great though - I love the North End.

Jayseadee, thanks for reminding me to change my avatar. Go Sox!!!
