I've rented The Four Seasons movie!I will watch it Friday night.The movie was made in 1981.Hey,I was a freshman in high school then! Anyways I've heard that some backgrounds in the movie include Hawksnest,and a birds eye view of Whistling Cay.Bring out the pop corn! Parafins....

I remember watching in on VHS with my mom when I was in high school.

When we were honeymoon planning, a friend of the family referenced the movie and the spots on St. John, which was part of the reason St. John was immediately placed at the top of the list. I remember the scene with the sail boat.

I must put it on my Netflix list immediately.

You are going to love The Four Seasons! I've owned it for several years (bought it at a used book sale at a library near my town for $2.00). You are indeed right about the Hawksnest Bay location. The sandbar scene is located at the far western end of Gibney beach. Of course, the Gibney cottages were not there when the movie was made but the original Gibney house was and it had to be airbrushed out.

The (unseen) skipper who sailed the boat in the movie is Capt. Rick Falkenberg. Rick owned a yawl, the Tevake, which he moored in Cinnamon Bay for many years. Rick loved to tell the stories about how he had to lay down on the deck and work all the rigging from that position so he wouldn't be seen on camera!

I think I'll drag out my copy of the movie and enjoy it again for the bizillionth time!

Dang, know wonder I never heard of this movie...I was in elementary school 5th grade to be exact!! I will have to rent it. Thanks for the info

1981...I was 20. Im gonna have to look for this movie!

I've never heard of this movie. I'm going to have to track it down too!!

Hooray! Netflix is sending it to me today. Maybe I will get it tomorrow and can watch it this weekend.

If I recall, it is yet another movie where the Alan Alda character is accused of being too judgemental...

I wonder if this is when Mr. Alda started coming down to STJ?

I've never heard of this movie but if there are scenes of St. John in it I will have to watch! Heck, I even sat through that awful Christopher Columbus movie, and the creepy shark one, just to see the background scenery.
