Has anybody ever tried to locate a specific villa by using Google Earth? I've tried looking for Oleander near Ditliff Point using the caribbeanvilla website photos and it's harder than I thought. Just curious to see what the neighborhood looks like.

I used Google Earth to try and locate the villa we stayed in on June of this year. The satellite photos are not very recent, and the villa did not show up, as it had not been built when the photo was taken.
There is another satellite photo site that does have more recent photos, Live Search. Here is the link:

Try that one.

Thanks Bert!
Clearer picture. No clouds. But if I try to zoom in really close their screen goes blank.

I used Google earth to find our villa. It was also posted in a thread on here somewhere. It took some sleuthing, but I figured it out.

Oleander Villa has been obscured by clouds on the Google Earth site since July. You can see Monte Bay and Villa Rendevous and also the foundation for Carnival Beach House which was completed about 2 years ago.
Also, there are no roads cut on the photos of Ditliff Point, whereas now there are quite a few.
We stayed at Oleander Villa in August. If you want any info about the surrounding area PM me.
The noryh Shore Villas( but not Peace and Plenty) and all of the villas on Maria Bluff(the ones that are more than 2 years old) can be seen very clearly.

Steve S posted a shot for someone looking at Cielo Mar here a while ago. The Star Villa units (there are several) are in this neighborhood, to the left and to the right of Cielo Mar. I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not.

I was able to find Moonsong and Sundance on Google Earth with the help of Papabou. He had the coordinates for Sundance so it was easy.
The Live Search link is aerial photos, not satellite, but they are pretty cool. Here's my house (the one in the center)

I think I found it on the maps-live site. Is it on Klein Bay Drive, the third house going east from where the road cuts south and does a 180? I didn't think there was another road between Oleander and the water. Kind of a bummer?...or no big deal?
Did the road in front matter to you? How is the villa for privacy on the pool deck?
Thanks!

Also, that road they're building out to Ditliff Point looks like it would be walkable to a point where you could cut down to the beach. In fact it looks like only 50'-75' at the North edge of the beach from the road. Anybody tried to get there?
