Boy,I sure have spread this report out! This time I will give this report a title! I will call it "Man that sure is a nice ashtray!" I will explain later... 7/24. The last full day of fun on S.T.J. Up early as usual and visited Oppenheimer/Gibney one last time. I entered the water with my Sony Handycam and underwater housing, and filmed a few fish and the reef. I snorkeled to the east of Oppenheimer, in about 5 ft. of water. There I stumbled across a 4 ft.Nurse Shark laying in coral sand.I filmed this shark for a short time and then it swam off gracefully.I was so thrilled to have seen this shark and to have him on tape was a bonus! So off I went to find more treasures and then later, returned to the spot where I last saw the shark. It had returned and was resting once again. So I filmed more of him while standing about 3 ft. in front of his nose!{Yes I was standing in sand.}I called out to the wife to come out and visit my new found friend, but she turned me down,I wonder why? This is a pic of some coral @ Oppenheimer.
Back on the beach we saw Mary Lou come out of her Gibney cottage in morning attire. We spoke to her again and asked if she would take pictures of our family, she agreed. We said our goodbyes and headed out for Maho Bay. We dropped our gear near the goat trail.{I will finish this report shortly}Parafins
