The guys at www.dolphinshuttle.com are running an unadvertised "locals" trip to JVD on Sundays. It's $50pp r/t and they serve beer and soft drinks on board.

Leaves from Cruz Bay. Dunno if it will last into the heart of season, but it's nice while it lasts.

That 2pm ferry return trip was always a buzzkill.

US Customs closes at 5:30pm so I'm thinking that's the hard deadline.

Thanks Verve, I just may give them a call. We are using them for our water taxi on the way is as well. We have gone by ferry a few times and you are right, seems like before you know it, it is time to leave . The price is the same while the offer runs unless the customs fees aren't included.

Well a big YAHOO for the dolphin guys! No off season trips? Maybe they are working on it!
