Here's some info I copied off the forum over the past year. I'm not sure who contributed it, but I'm posting it again on their behalf.
If you know where Love City Mini Mart is just stay on that road and it will be on your left - you pass a sign that says "Tourist Information - you are lost" (love that sign) and the road gets really rutted and you will think surely it's not this far, but yep it is. She has a cooler in the garden center that has vegtables and some of the best salad mixes that I have ever had. It is quite a ways down the road in fact you start thinking you missed it.
Her produce depends on what is available. You can always call before you visit to see what is available and her number is 340-693-5579 but she is closed on Mondays.

Down yonder in the valley!
Fresh organic meat? You'll have to do a drive-by on a goat! Honestly, I've never seen it. We have an organic butcher in our town and they buy full carcasses from a particular farm. Their pork is Niman Ranch.

I would imagine that any fish you catch is organic, unless there is something going on down in that water that we don't know about!
Spearfishing is permitted anywhere NOT in the park (ditleff, east end, leduck) and i
think you can do real (or reel) fishing in the park.

Good information. I printed off this post to add to the file. With our "lets cook more at the villa trip" coming up in 20 weeks (I prefer to count weeks instead of months), I definately want to visit her farm.

Also, you could check the markets--you might be able to find her stuff there and save the drive out to the farm (though the farm is really cool!). We found her greens at Starfish, Dolphin, and Pine Peace--bok choy, tat soi, arugula, microgreens, and a salad blend. There was one weekend where we could not find them, but otherwise we feasted on her greens pretty much every night on our June trip.

It's great to hear that we can get Jo's produce from the markets but I love visiting the farm in person to get the "whole" experience. I live in NW New Jersey and get my produce from a local, biodynamic farm. For my organic grass fed meats I travel to PA. It's a 1 1/2 hour trip but the meat and dairy products there are unbelieveable. It is so rewarding to actually see where your food is coming from and meeting the farmers and the animals.
As far as the fish, I'll be waiting on the dock for some fresh ones at least every other day. Looking forward to good wine, fresh fish on the barbi and Jo's veggies while looking at St Thomas as the sun goes down.

You could probably take a small cooler with your own meat frozen.

I'm with you. I buy my raw cow milk for cheese making in PA. We are headed up to Downingtown for the Victory Brewing Fall Fest at the end of the month I'll be bringing raw milk home. No raw milk sales in Virginia!

Lots of raw milk in my neck of the PA woods, goats milk too.
We are starting to see more grass feed beef too, which is nice

I like the
http://www.eatwild.com/ site. It has a good listing of resources. Of course, in Lancaster County I look for the hand lettered RAW MILK, BUTTER, HONEY, PORK signs.
Its getting to be salumi making time and I need some real Pig.
Cheers, RickG
