Anyone used Mixology's services?

I have been thinking about provisioning for our arrival on STJ. I thought it might be nice to not have to worry about beverages the first couple of days (or the week for that matter). Do they have non alcoholic beverages as well? Are the prices comparable? Their website says they have free delivery for orders over $100. I don't think I would spend that much but I wouldn't rule it out depending on what they have. I know that I can call them, but just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with them. Thanks!

That's a thought... Sure would/will be nice to have the drinks waiting for us upon arrival! We are not getting our jeep until Sunday either.

I've used them twice and they have just about every kind of beverage you want. Of course any kind of alchol, juices, sodas (no Dr. Pepper), beer (no Corona), and we also got our bottled water from them. They sell it in a 4 gallon case for like 6. something. You can also get a pretty good selection of wine. It's not hard to spend 100.

They got our order correct both times. The only thing that you can't do is choose which brand of OJ you want. The juices they bring all come in cans.

Did you get a list of what they have, or just call and place an order for what you wanted, then substitute if necessary? Did you have it delivered? Oh, and yes, I'm sure that it not too hard to spend $100 on STJ  , what was I thinking????

The last I dealt with them the fax machine was broken. You just call up and tell them what you want. If you call well ahead they can order in most everything. We stop by and pick our order up so that we can hit St. John Ice as well.

Cheers, Rick

Thanks all, where else can you get information that quick! I can definitely say that I will be giving them a call and placing an order. The more I go to STJ and find out new things, the more spoiled I get 8).

We are going to use them in February. The men's eyes are bigger than their livers so I figured pre-ordering most of the booze would save us time, money and hangovers because goodness knows, you can't leave beer un-drunk!

I was wondering about wine as the ladies in the group are wine-os. Anyone ever get a list from him or do I just start asking and see what he can provide?

I'm not looking for expensive or rare wines (white) but I also don't want low end either.

PA Girl, John and I got a case of wine from him in June. I just called him up and talked about what kind of wines we liked and he put together stuff from his stock.

We used Mixology on this last trip---wish I had found out about this sooner. Prices were reasonable---I thought---slightly higher than Pine Peace market on booze, but less than Starfish Market, and its delivered to your kitchen! Gary Moses was very accomodating about ordering certain wine from his supplier in St. Thomas for our slightly high-maintenance group (nothing all that fancy---just different than what he had in stock). Also, the case of water was cheaper than at Starfish---wish I had really stocked up on water since it goes quickly. Although we had a larger group, I think its pretty easy to hit the $100 minimum when you add in bottled water, soft drinks.

We used mixology when we were there in May. It was great to have everything in the villa when we arrived! We stocked up for the week ... beer, wine, rum, water, and soft drinks. They were very easy to work with and everything was exactly as we had ordered. We will definitely use them whenever we are on St. John!

Yes,
We used mixology last Feb for a large group (16) they did a great job. They were out of limes and stoped at starfish on the way to the villa and bought us some.
A++
Jay
PS the $100 minimum was no problem.

We used them in June. I think we spent $150 and received more than we needed for the week. We left a couple of things behind for the next group. Our delivery was not there when we arrived (about 6pm) but after a quick phone call it was there by 7pm.
