Why does it seem like forever?!!!

In less than 2 months I'll be inhaling carribean air! It's pretty crazy. I started the countdown at 8 months to go.

We are spending a night on STT at the Green Iguana then STJ here we come!

214 days for us!

(I'm just trying to get under 200!)

Whooo Hoooo!!! 15 more days and under the 200 countdown mark!

You’re on easy street now. That count down will breeze by. Let’s see – you must have packed, repack and packed again by now. Looked at the airline tickets a kagillion times. Been on the web 10 or 15 times looking at the place you’re staying at and imaging yourself in the photo. Notified the post office & paper 10 times to stop the mail/paper. Explained to your boss “I don’t know how many times” why you’re day-dreaming in all the meeting. Do I have this right so far?

Yep – you got a bad case of the St. John Bug. The only way to get through this time is:
Start drinking Bushwackers and Painkillers now.
Play Caribbean music until all the neighbors hate you.
Walk around the house in your bathing suit and flip-flops.
Lie in your tub and imagine that your skinny dipping in the Caribbean.
Light a coconut candle.

FlaGeorge, you got a few things right.

I've checked and rechecked the flights.
I've looked at our villa (and emailed pictures of it to friends and coworkers) several times.
And, of course, I'm on these freakin' carribean message boards obsessively (but I do that ALL year)!

Believe it or not, I heard steel drums in my head this morning (or did I walk into something....same difference).

I don't pack and repack. That's way too OCD for me. The night before our flight, I gather everything I think we might need and throw it all on the bed. I then see what we can live without or buy on-island. Then, I take some clothes out of the pile and throw some more money in the wallet. Finally, I roll it all up and chuck everything in the bags. Yay!

I booked my power boat charter last week and am seriously considering Katilady Provisioning even though we'll be on STT the night before and have plenty o' time to grocery shop once on STJ. I'm just lazy.

We have only 18 days to go... I can hardly wait!

I packed 2 weeks ago (or should I say - overpacked). But that gives me a chance to think about what's in the suitcase and weed out everything I can do without!

57 days for us........

I have 191 days left, way to long but I think I will make.

Sounds like we are going to start getting alot of trip reports coming in in the next couple of months!!!!

I hope all of ya'll have a wonderful time while you are there with not a care in the world except where to snorkel next or where to get your next pain killer

p.s. my sister (Cat) is counting the days for us. My only problem with it is that you count down for so long and then the trip gets there and goes by so fast then you have to start counting AGAIN cuz you KNOW you're gonna go back...how could you not.

Just 280 days left for me!

OK, well, as long as we're counting....67 more days til paradise!!
