Villas (NOT) requiring a full week?

Hi all,
I'm sure this has been asked several times, but I can't seem to find an answer through the search feature.
For our next trip, we still want to go to Gallows, as we love being within walking distance to town. But, we would love to try a nice private villa for just a few days to see if we like it. Pool, a/c, and privacy is what is important....of course a good view doesn't hurt!!
Does this exist? Or does every single villa out there require a 7 day minimum?
Thanks for any help....
-Scott

In our experience, you can rent for less than 1 week if you rent off-season (frequently they have a 5 day minimum then but we've been able to stay as few as 4 days when those days have filled a gap of the same size in their schedule).

this is what Carefree Getaways says on their site.
Our Villas are rented on a weekly bases (seven nights) and for fewer nights, pro-rated during the off-season.
you could check with them and see if any of their villas are open for a few nights when you are planning to be there.

Privatehomesvi.com rents for 5 days. Sago Palms is a great place if it fits into your time frame. Nautilus is also a great house with a very romantic jacuzzi and outstanding views from Maria Bluff. It doesnt have a pool, though. We are staying there for a few days in November before we move on to another villa. It is very reasonable.

Check around... it's not uncommon to find "holes" when 7 day rentals switch from mid-week to weekend. Be prepared to pay an extra "housekeeping" fee for stays less than a week, though.

Less than a week? I've never had a problem, but we usually go off-season. Caribbean Villas in particular seems to rent for whatever length you wish. I have seen an extra cleaning charge for less than 3 nights.
Cheers, RickG

Just an FYI....just got off the phone with Caribbean Villas, and all villas are a 7 day minimum.
Carefree offers a 5 day minimum.
More calls to make.......

We rented Perelandra (gorgeous villa w/ pool, very private, but still close to town) for 5 days this past June. They pushed back at first requesting that we stay a full week, but we were easily able to convince them of the 5 days.
Good luck!

Our original travel dates (Sat-Sat) in Feb 2007 would have left the house with a 4 day openning. Lisa at Vacation Vistas would have rented it to us but she said that she didn't want a 4 day openning. Because I hadn't purchased the tickets, we switched to Sun-Sun. Point being, Vacation Vista's appears to offer shorter rental periods if she was going to rent the 5 days prior to our arrival.
