Hi everyone. I was hoping that someone could provide information or a review on Croix Vista Villa on St. John. It looks great, and surprisingly good value for money. Anyone every stayed there?

Thanks in advance

There is a review posted in the Villa Review section dated 8/25/06, rated excellent. It was a strong possibility for us, but if I recall correctly, the lower level twin bedroom was toward the back of the house, a bit too far removed from the other bedroom and also without a view. This would have been a BR for the kids and I was concerned about the distance from the other BR.
All in all though, it looks like a beautiful villa.

Not sure if you've made your decision yet, but we found Croix Vista to be a wonderful retreat. It is quite secluded, much more so than it appears on the Ultimate Villas website video. When you are on the veranda or by the pool you can't see any other villas other than those across the valley.

Although there is no hot tub, the pool has a series of steps that provide ample space to sit with a drink while watching the stars. It also has a long underwater landing along the infinity edge when you can stand and use the edge as a bar while gazing off into Fish Bay.

And the sound system is fantastic. You can bring your own cds or take advantage of the owner's library, or the Dish music channels. The system can be set up to play music around the pool or upstairs while others are watching something completely different on the big screen. And there are seperate volume controls for the upstairs speakers, both inside and out!

The bedrooms or should I say master suites are luxurious. Every ammenity taken care of. Beautiful hand painted tile showers, huge double bowl vanities and large LCD tvs (with satellite) housed in antique armoires at the foot of each king bed. The only small criticism is that the 4th (smaller) bedroom does not quite measure up to the impressive standards of the other 3. Its bathroom is a full bath with huge tile shower, but it's located just outside the bedroom itself (requiring a quick dash about ten feet across the hall). But when everyone is showering and changing at the same time there is no one to see you make the dash anyway! Also, the bed situation is lacking. Ultimate Villas will combine the twins to make a queen, but the occupants end up with a smaller platform than the other 3 kings.

Everytime we made the drive back up to Skytops it was an experience but when you crest that final hill and the vista opens up before you it takes your breath away! And to have a house like Croix Vista to return to after exploring the island is sooo relaxing. Have to say we spent most of our time at Croix Vista outside. Cooked on the grills(2), ate on the verandas and lounged in the pool. Heaven!
