All those ticker banners that you have at the bottom of your posts? They REALLY just bum me out when I see them. Everybody has one, so I did one too to show you why I get so upset.

Connie, what is keeping you from taking the plunge?
Maybe we can talk you into going sooner than your ticker indicates!

You just have to take the plunge!!! And pay for it the rest of the year so you can go back again!

Believe me, I keep dropping hints to husband every single day and reading these trip reports is so hurtful

Have to have a balance here. Husband wants new garage door, supposedly a really cool one...lol Granite counter tops installed and his work room redone.

All i want is a trip back!!

Also waiting to hear from the owner of the Villa we stayed at in May to see if he comes through with his promise to make us an offer we couldn't refuse.

I put that ticker on here because that's as far ahead as you could make it.

If things change, I'll be thrilled to change it.

Connie (love your avatar)...if you can, get a home equity loan for the home improvements, the interest you pay is tax deductible. THEN, you get a nice tax refund which can be used to either pay off the loan, or take a great vacation to STJ. That way, everyone is happy! We bought a fixer upper home 2 yrs ago and have managed to fix up AND go to STJ due to the big refunds. Just a suggestion!

Thanks all about the Avatar. I did a search and was able to do it myself!! When I saw that one, I knew it was appropriate.

After reading about Sandie, I was thinking that life can carry so many heartaches and problems. I'm going to work on this trip.

After all...you can't take it with you and if I don't spend it now, daughter is a rich gal.
