Got a q.........looks like the trip I booked with Spirit for Sept 8 I can not take. If I do not make a reservation change by Sept 8 what happens.
I am waiting for my friend to give me the dates she can go and also I need to come up with the change fee.

You can cancel with Spirit thru their website. (I think it must be more than 24 hours b4 departure.) They will give you a travel voucher for a future booking. There is a $120 fee DEDUCTED per ticket, per person roundtrip when you use a travel voucher.

thank you. right now there is a 60.00 change fee and whatever the fair difference is.
my goal is to have a change date by sept 1.
crossing my fingers.
110.00 to come up with right now is ALOT easier then 120.00 for voucher and then whatever a new ticket would run

A Word of Advice!

Just a word of caution when traveling on spirit air. They are not affiliated with any other airline so if the cancel your departure, you are given a choice of rebooking 4 days later or a refund. The refund takes between 2 to 12 weeks to get. It is also there policy that if you pay for checked luggage and your flight is cancelled they will not refund that money either. If you incur other expenses while waiting to resume your flight those are your expenses and not theirs, they will not reimburse that either. I know all this first hand as my flight was cancelled July 30th and I amstill waiting for my 1200.00 plus refund to be credited to my account. Least to say I will not fly them again. Just thought other people should know before they fly Spirit Air. Thanks for letting me vent.

so is the travel voucher in the amount of 120.00?
it looks like i can not go end of sept either, since i am moving.
my fare was 170.00 so 120.00 travel voucher would not be that bad.........

Bilter..... I feel your pain
designbyroe... I am not sure you have a clear picture here. If you paid $170 for your tickets Spirit will deduct $120 so you now have 50 bucks left

I might be mistaken and you didn't say why you can't go on your trip but I think AIG will only reimburse you $ if you're canceling/delaying your trip due to medical reasons or a death in the family.

Neither of the above is the reason I am cancelling.
I just have to reschedule since Ivan is not going to be there and he is a big big reason for me to go.
I will reschedule, it will work........:)
