Finally June trip report part 2

Friday morning we got up early and went down to breakfast. We had juice, coffee, and bagels with cream cheese, toaster waffles, toast, cereal and fruit as options. Not great but enough! After breakfast we stopped by the office to see about a cab to Red Hook. They said it would take about 15 min so we packed up and checked out with not much time to wait.

Our driver Jolly was great! I took a Bonine for the ride and sat in the front seat again. You have no idea how fast I can get sick! Those roads twisting and up and down hills can make me sick in a few seconds! Jolly was great! He took his time and stopped to pick up a girl on her way to work at Secret Harbor. We got to Red Hook with no problems! Jolly offered to pick us back up on our return trip but we didn't take him up on it. Brave souls! J

The ferry ride was beautiful as always. Hubby's friend John (action figure from LOST) was along for the trip and came out of his backpack to see the pretty water. John is a lot like that traveling gnome. The last cruise we went on we had a Mr. Incredible happy meal toy along with us! Different I know! We tend to be a little nuts sometimes but it is a great conversation starter!

The ride to St John passed quickly. Elizabeth was texting and talking to Margo along the way. As we docked I got on the phone with our Mom and one of our sisters to have them check us out on the web cam!

Margo was on watch too! We took pics and apparently took too long to get to the end of the dock so the guys from L&L car rental left us to get another car. When I called he said he had seen me but he had other cars to deliver. I was on island time so no worries. If it really bothered him he should have said something to me! I am a terrible dawdler! Hubby can't stand walking with me. I hate to walk fast and love looking at everything around me! I guess the car rental guy is a lot like Hubby. Good thing Hubby loves me! J

While I was meeting our car guy Jerry was on his way to Courtesy to pick up their Escape. We had a bright Yellow Jeep!!! I loved it! Before we knew it we were on our way to Seawatch with a quick stop by Caribbean Villas to sign some papers. The villa was not finished being cleaned yet so we dropped off our suitcases and headed to the Beach bar for lunch!

I had a lime and coconut with Tuna Down Now; Hubby had the Flying Shrimp and a Bushwacker. Elizabeth had a Mango Colada and Tuna Down Now and her SO had a painkiller and a Blue Cheese Burger. For me the Lime and Coconut became a really great habit! Margo I remembered that you said you liked them so I am so glad for the suggestion!

After lunch we headed to Starfish and Mixology to get the basics! Back to the villa to change into swim suits and head to Trunk! This is my first trip here. For some reason we never made it here last trip. The snorkel was nice and we saw a lot of fish! It always amazes me how beautiful everything is underwater! I had my underwater housing for my camera and I was in heaven! Saw lots of fun fish, turtles, Elizabeth even saw an octopus. Jerry saw a nurse shark.

The sun was starting to set so we took off back to the villa. After a quick dip in the chilly pool we showered and went to Rhumblines for dinner.

I had Glenlevit on the rocks. I needed a break from too many sweet drinks and everything I ate was so spicy the sweet drinks just wouldn't do. I had crab cakes and split a shrimp appetizer with Jerry. I did succumb to the sweet for a dessert of Key Lime Pie! Hubby had some kind of Pork. After dinner we went back to the villa. Hung out on the deck a while and went to bed! It had been a long and exciting day! For people that usually don't go to bed till 2-3am we went to sleep right away well before that!

Tomorrow we do Cinnamon and an East End drive.

Ah, another convert to Lime n' Coconuts! It's interesting how "LOST John" and Kenneth look so much alike! At first I thought Kenneth had gotten an action figure made of himself!

Great report Cat! Keep 'em comin'!

The action figures are a good way to remember to keep it fun and not take life too seriously! Too often on vacation, and in life, things start to get serious and they are a way to remind us that we are here to have fun and relax!

Good Grief I make teddy bears for a living! :D

The worst part was having to admit to Kenneth that I dropped Joe while holding a million things waiting to go on Ocean Runner and caused him to lose his grip on whatever he was holding

At least Kenneth is the forgiving type :D

It's John not Joe! I won't tell him though! It was his water bottle! How will he survive without his water!!! :D
