In sunny Florida, feeling a buzz on vodka and lemonade. I've moved to white russians for the moment and am getting ready to head back to the beach.
Down here is my hubby, our son, his friend, and my hubby's sister and brother. We are having a marvy time and our house that we rented is superb. Tonights dinner is scallops and grouper and baked taters and mushrooms.
I hit the beach at 9 am and just came in for a break. The waves are awesome, thanks to Dean. I do so worry about all who were in his wake though. (((HUGS))) to all.
Gotta run and hit the waves...take care!!
p.s. please excuse any typo's etc...as I am quite blitz.

SanDiegoMark - We are in the Apalachicola area which is a whole nother world.

Nothing better than an Apalachicola oysters!!
The Gulf has really changed in the last few days, more debris coming in, I'm sure because of Dean. I'm anxious to see what is in the water today...we had awesome waves yesterday and played hard in them...it was fun!!

Sound like your having a great time on "The Island". Enjoy the oyster - they're the best. If you get a chance, go to Boss Oyster Restaurant in Apalachicola. The last time we were there, the oysters were 6 hours old from boat to table.

Are you on St. George Island?
That is a very laid back, peaceful kind of place.
And all you have to do is drive across the bridge into Port St. Joe for those world famous oysters!

Well Coden, how was the "white" for breakfast??

FlaGeorge - Nothin' like an apalachicola oyster, is there? I can fully attest that I have had some of the yummiest this visit too. And the grouper...yum, yum, yum! It is even better the next day on an onion bun.
Augie - Yes, that is where we are and it is one of my all time fav places to be. But don't tell anyone about it.
Ksea - who wouldv'e known how great a "white" is for breakfast. Thanks for the hint. It is almost like drinking a milk shake. LOL
I've just finished making my sushi rice for lunch. It is all cooled now and ready to go into the fridge until lunch time. We are only putting avacado, cukes, red pepper & green onions in them. Plus we have a piece of sushi grade yellow fin tuna...nothin' like livin' it up on the beach.
Headin' down...catch y'all later.

I was gonna suggest a "white" on the hangover cure thread...but I guess I was shy back then.
