We've never used auto-checkin before on the way home -- but would like to try it next time! Can you print boarding passes at connections or at that other place in cruz bay? Has anyone successfully done so when flying USAIR (for some reason, I don't trust them, and fear that the ticket agents at the airport will give away our seats anyway...!) We carry on our bags so that won't be a problem, but where do you get a customs form?

I always pick up customs forms at the airport in STT when I land. Then I have them to fill out before I have to leave.

Sorry, can't help with the printing boarding passes on STJ question. I alway fly American and do on-line check in and print boarding passes at the kiosk at the airport.

I printed boarding passes for USAirways this past spring at Surf da Web in the marketplace and they were accepted no problem at the airport, but... we carry on only so I don't know how the baggage checking works.

VERY IMPORTANT - I was sent into a panic when the boarding passes were coming out as 5 pages of garbage. (I used the "s" word out loud which I'm sure is considered a lot more rude than opening a conversation without saying hello  ) Turned out the default browser on the computer was firefox. Once I re-did the checkin using IE, the passes printed out fine. :)

I always do online check in at Connections and print my boarding passes. If you have no checked bags, when you get to the airport, you skip the USAIR line, go straight into the customs area. There are forms in there. If not, grab one from the USAIR counter.

I have never had a problem. It's easy as pie.

What happens if you need to check luggage? Is it still worth while to print boarding passes prior to leaving St. John? Unfortunately there is no way we will be able to do carry-on. Our group is large next trip and I want to make the airport experience as least stressful as possible (ha!)

We printed our boarding passes at Connections and were checking luggage. Some of us were on Delta and some on American. Neither airline took our pre printed boarding passes...they checked us in "again" at the counter and checked our luggage. So, printing the passes ahead of time turned out to be a waste of time!
