Hey JT, you mentioned In The Stars, I walked Upper Carolina alot and I remember that driveway. What did you think of the villa and what other Upper Carolina villas are you familiar with? It looks like we may have a gang going next year and I need options for probably three villas close together. Three couples have young kids and two couples are free as a bird. PM me or throw it out there!
Thanks

Budman, We stayed at "Stars" in 2003 and 2004. Back then it was $1575 a week for 4 people. They overhauled it in late 2004/2005 and put in the pool and finished a downstairs area.I can't afford the new price that they ask for it now. The screened in porch is just unbelievable as far as views of Coral Harbor. You also have limited views of the BVI's in the other direction, as the house is right at the apex of the hill. It's a very private villa, all in all. Like where you stayed, the turn into the drive is a 3 point,135 degree turn going immediately straight up and sometimes gravel washes down, making 4x4 handy. Parking was tight.
This was taken on our last morning there, 2004

I'm quite certain there's a few more houses to be seen if you took the same shot today.
Here's a shot of the deck. Though screened in, I would call it "open air" as it stays open all the time. There are hurricane doors, but we never used them.

You should also check out Villa Margherita. Call Kay or Karen at Windspree.com. It's a short distance away, but has different angles and views.
Hope this helps. Peace and Harmony, JT
