As I posted before, got a great 55.00 fare for Sept 8.
Now Ivan has told me he may be stateside during my time on Jost. I really want more then anything to see him. How do I go about changing my flight if need be?
I bought the travel ins but no one is picking up at Spirit. Could I do it online and how?
Depending if my friend can do it and also Ivan will not know til Aug 20 if he will be on/off island in Sept.

My friend, Sharon, had a similar dilemma. She accidentally booked for 3 days longer on STT than she should have. She talked to Spirit and they basically said "too bad, you made the mistake, it'll cost you". At first Sharon thought the website had screwed up the dates somehow, but even then, Spirit would not accommodate her, other than to charge her the full fee for changing the dates... like $150 or something. Sharon opted to stay the extra 3 days on STT rather than give that $$ to Spirit.

The travel ins I bought allows me to change due to illness. I just was wondering would it like booking with Expedia which just charges you the travel difference?

Been there done that...

No, Spirit will not answer the phone. Yes, you can cancel your tickets over the web sight. Spirit will give you a travel voucher for another flight. Now... R U sitting down? There is a 60 buck fee per ticket each way to change flights. 2 people round trip is a 240 dollar fee taken away from your travel voucher amount.

From everything I've heard, including from my travel agent friend, Spirit is GREAT (on time, nice planes, cheap tickets)... unless you have a problem.

I am just crossing my fingers and anything else I can that Ivan will be back during the week I am there.
Not having alot of people or many things open does not bother me..........my main reason going now was I knew Ivan would be there since he vacations in Aug....
sooooooo cross your fingers and toes that all will work out.
