6 days and counting.

Does anyone know if Sirius radio covers stj? Their website only refers to the continental US. I would love to go back and forth between the Margaritaville and reggae channels and not have to carry a bunch of music along.

Hi Lakeman,
Bring It! I've taken mine for the past 3 yrs and am always happy I did. Where you are staying may affect reception. Your antenna must face Northwest. I've stayed on Ajax Peak and down near Salt Pond and was able to get reception however I did lose it from about 10:30am to 1:30pm every day whether there was cloud cover or not. My hubby and I decided the loss of reception must be from satellite positioning. Have Fun !!!!!!!!!!

You can also use this handy map to see where to aim your antenna. Since STJ is on the outside of coverage, this helps with your signal.

Thanks for the information and your answer is fantastic. Anything to make the trip easier.

Now, if Sirius was only starting their Deadhead channel in early August instead of late August.

Looks like the preview will cover more than half of our trip. The stars are lining up.

I haven't heard of Dark Star Orchestra, but I'll see if I can pull up some of their music and check them out. Just bought a big group of tickets for Phil Lesh & Friends this week for their October show in KC. This is as close to the Dead experience you can get anymore IMHO.

For you Kenny Chesney fans out there, has his music changed since he's been on the island? Do you hear the caribbean influence?

we were in ithaca, ny may 8th for a visit, and noticed all these people walking around the downtown commons in tie-die. found out that dark star was performing a sold out remake of concert 20 years to the date from 1977 when the Dead had performed at Cornell. except this year was in the 80's temps and apparently when people came out of the Dead concert in '77 it was snowing!
