Hi,
We are going to St. John in June '08 with friends who are looking for for good airfare from Buffalo, NY or Toronto. Any ideas?

And here's one to avoid: Lessno.com. They advertised a fare about $100 less than anything else I could find from Greensboro (those of us here usually have to drive 2 hrs. to Charlotte for good fares). I gave my cc info, they sent a confirmation, and said e-tickets would arrive within 48 hours. They didn't. I called, and they said, Sorry, the airline changed that flight and we didn't want to book it without talking to you first. They said the return flight now left hours later, and the connecting flight to Greensboro would arrive the next morning, which was unacceptable, of course. But the airline didn't change the flight; it was (and is) still available, it just has gone up $100 or so. I'm not sure it was ever available for the price I was given. In othe words, Lessno wouldn't stand behind the price they gave. I've canceled, and I hope they fold like a cheap map.

Hi
We have used US Airways out of Toronto in the past. I just did a quick check and for next May it is $557(USD) from Toronto and $592(USD) from Buffalo.
That fare is about the same price we would have paid for our trip May 07, but we flew Air Canada from Toronto to Ft Lauderdale, then Spirit to St Thomas. We liked staying overnight in Lauderdale so plan to do it again May 08. The Air Canada, Spirit flights will be $644 (CAD). These prices are all per person.

Keep your fingers crossed for JetBlue to STT!
2 years ago we flew from Syracuse to San Juan on Jet Blue for $99 each way, but those last seventy miles to St Thomas on Cape Air cost almost as much as the first 1800!

Steve - have you heard any rumors of this??? I've been wondering about it ever since JetBlue partnered with Cape Air. Apparently this only affects the New England Cape Air flights (at least so far). I am SO hoping they will eventually add the Caribbean Cape Air flights as well

It'd be nice if they would partner for the Caribbean just to get luggage transfer at SJU, a combined fare to STT through SJU would be a bonus!
All I've heard is a brief blurb Frank Barnako put on News of St John a month or so ago.

Let's hope they're listening - I love JetBlue!
It seems like a no-brainer to me, but again, I'm biased
BTW - I was born and raised in upstate NY; family had a camp on the south shore of Fourth Lake, I do miss it (except in the winter

Old Forge!
