October weather

I know it will be beautiful, but does it rain more in October?? I took advantage of the Gallows special, I can't wait. Also I have been reading that alot of restaurants are closed in Sept, is it the same in Oct?? Thanks in advance. Happy Friday everyone!!

we were there from the 2nd to the 12th or so last year and we did not have a lot of rain. enjoy it!

What week will you be there?
We like to go this time of year, especially for Halloween. Most places are open at the end of the month with fresh repairs and paint. In 2003 there was a big rainy week the second week of November, but other than that, no problem.
The water is noticeably warmer in October and November. We've never had unusually bad skeeter problems.

Our first trip was October 2003. It was very nice--I don't remember missing a day due to rain. The bugs were not a problem on the beaches--we had a problem in the villa but the house we rented didn't really have walls--just roll down tent screens.
We are going back this October, taking advantage of the Gallows special too!

or ask me to take your picture with my camera? i got a few of those - people asked me to take a picture and then said they would contact me, never heard from them again. so now i have some pic's of total strangers!

Thanks everyone! I will be there Oct 6th to the 13th. I am so excited. I have only visited on a cruise ship, the last 4 out of five trips I RAN to Redhook for that ferry to STJ. It is so hard to leave that beautiful island. After staying for a full week it is going to be difficult to get me off! LOL We get in about 12:30 or so. First stop Gallows, second stop The Beach Bar.

We've always enjoyed our trip in Oct/November. Kind of nice to get a nice dose of sun and warm before the NE winter arrives.
