Hey thirsty people, has anyone tried any of the beers that the guys are brewing at the tap room?

I know they're still having most of their beer brewed at Shipyard in Main. But, I'm interested in how they are doing with their little 200L system.

Cheers, RickG

A couple of days ago had their summer ale. Very decent.

When we were there we sampled their IPA that they are brewing on site. The first time it was from their first keg, and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. It was lacking the hoppy bitterness I associate with IPAs. We went back later in the trip and tried again--this time it was from the second keg they tapped, and it was much better! They explained it probably tasted better since it had more time to age.

Cool, I don't imagine they'll have a lot of aging time. Hmmm, I wonder how they are cleaning their kegs?

... for sale here on the NJ shore. Picked up 2 cases.

Even though its brewed in Maine, lots of friends love it, especially w/ the hint of mango.

We were there around June 28th and they did not have any IPA on tap, which I was disappointed since I like a good IPA. I had a couple of Export Ales, which were quite nice with good body, flavor and nice hoppyness. Anita, our oldest son and Colette (6-PAQ Suba) each had Summer Ales, which they all seem to enjoy. They had a 3rd one on tap but don't remember what it was. They have cool yellow Summer Ale t-shirts, which I bought.

Cheers, Bob

Ya, the Export is good, but brewed at Shipyard. liamsaunt seems to be the one that tasted a brew made on premises.
