Hello,
It has been a few years since I last been to St Thomas. I am able to get down for 4 nights, 5 days this coming October. Flying on United from Washington DC non stop on Saturday 20th.
I am staying at Morningstar since it is a short visit & I like the resort, hope to see some of St John if possible.
My question is since United isn't able to answer my question ( think they would know) coming back the flight is a code share with USAIR. Not a non stop flight. So is it a USAIR plane or United plane. And does Stt have an United counter or does it share with USAIR? Isn't flying fun

I would appreciate any suggestions or answers if anyone knows. Thanks !

Try using a flight reservation tool such as Orbitz to find your flight. The flight information usually includes "operated by ABC airlines" which tells you which carrier actually owns the aircraft.
Have fun in October

My educated guess would be that it is a US Air plane - sold by United by as a partner, US Air often will take over. This happened to us a few weeks ago on our return flight. There is a US Air counter at the STT airport and everything went smoothly.

In my experience on United code shares, we check in at the US Air counter. Hopefully you are coming back via Charlotte.
The United direct from DC is quite nice. The only challenge is if they cancel the flight you usually end up flying via Chicago. October is the earliest I usually see the United direct. We have one couple on the October 27 flight this year. I'm flying American because I like all of the options if we have to reschedule.
Cheers, RickG

Geez thanks RickG
This makes me feel so good NOT. They better not cancel or they will be owing me money. Seriously I only booked through United Vacation because of the non stop & they had the resort I wanted. Was going to go through Marriott but I couldn't get a non smoking room which I need due to medical reasons. Now I see on United Vacation page they said the resort is going non smoking after I made the booking the final thing they said before I put my credit card number in. Oh well I guess I will just have to take my chances & hope for the best. I was going to fly AA but I wasn't paying over $500 their sale price at the time even though they said they were having low fares to St Thomas.
Yes I have connecting flights on the way back in NC., So I guess I check in at United counter at STT or US Air? Thanks !
